The Millers went to Morecambe looking for revenge after being on the wrong end of a 5-1 stuffing last season, speaking to Radio Sheffield, he was pleased with the win.

"It feels a lot different than it does the last time we were here thats for sure and it rounds off a good first week of a new campaign. We couldnt have asked for a better start."

"For us to come here and play the way we did and control the game from start to finish, and thats not taking anything away from Morecambe because they are a big, physical side with an ariel threat and I thought they threw a lot at us today. The only blemish on it was thier goal at the end, but if you look at 95 minutes of football and only be able to pick one point out that marred the performance is fantastic and ill have that every week." Robins added.

"All three goals were fantastic goals, 2 from a full back were outstanding from Lynchy, but the build up play to the second goal with Ryan Taylor and the movement off him and the balls that were played in and around the penalty area was excellent and I thought they played some very very good stuff today. I'm pleased with the performance and it caps off a good week."

"Goals breed confidence, wins breed confidence, people will be confident but not complacent, we've got to make sure we guard against that because as soon as we start thinking we're great players we will come unstuck. We have to make sure we stick to our plan and the way we play but credit goes to the players because they've had an outstanding week, they've got the bit between thier teeth and we've got to maintain that."

"Theres a few tired legs in the dressing room after a tough week becuase the Sheffield Wednesday game without a doubt took a lot of energy out of us but to perform to that standard again today is a testament to the fitness and the work that has been done by the staff."

"I could have asked for a clean sheet but I'm happy at this time, but we cant rest on our laurels because we know how fast things can change in football."

Drewe Broughton was on the bench for the Millers this afternoon after signing a short term contract with the club. "He's here for a month initially, lets see how he goes, if we keep playing like that it might be that we do not need him
but he's something different and something we havent got. Mark Birchill is coming back with his fitness and needing somebody to foil for him. But Ryan and Ruben today were outstanding, I think Rhodesy just had a little but of a fall from the standards he has set himself but he still turned in a good performance."

"You can look at this week and think fantastic but we have to guard off complacency because we have tough games coming up. Chester next week, followed by the cup game then Brentford, which are all tough games."
