Asked about the pressure that he and the team are under, "There's always pressure, When i first had the job. Chris Coleman (Fulham Manager), a friend of mine phoned me, and his last comments were that your only 3 games away from getting the sack. It rings in my head, 3 losses, I dont think I've ever had 3 losses on the trot, and I was'nt planning on having one today. Fortunately we came away with the win."
The Millers dominated the first half, without making a mark on the scoresheet. "If you dominate that much then you have to take your chances. We had a couple of chances that would have made it comfortable. But credit to the players. We told them what expect at half-time and Blackpool had to improve and they did."
"But I thought we withstood pretty well, the whole back four and midfield units stood up pretty strong and the Goalkeeper was excellent, and then we nick one at the end which is a great away performance."
Asked if he was concerned at the Millers lack of goals after creating a fair few openings. "It would be more of a concern if we was'nt making any chances! But we will create and I'm sure eventually we will bag quite a few. The players we have brought in are good players and I'm sure they will get better and stronger as the season goes on."
"The goal was a great finish, a stright ball from Pab's and we just said turn em, just turn em and he put it rouund the back, and Del's made a great run and just hooked it across, Will's gambled and got across and made a great finish."
Knill was asked about the Millers resolve right uptil the final whistle, "Yeah we saw that on Tuesday against Huddersfield. We were 2-0 down at half time but we came out and really made a game of it. We should have got a result there but the team spirit and the effort you can't ever question because they just give it. Theyre young players and its the only way they know."
"I'm more than pleased and I'm delighted for the players. The seeds of doubt were creeping in and you could hear people talking and whispers. This is how to answer them, and now we have to answer them again against Scunthorpe on Saturday."
