Moore explained after the 2-0 win: "We chased the ball, made tackles and moved the ball quicker tonight and that is what the supporters wanted to see.
"Alfie was magnificant in and around the box. He was a constant threat all evening, the goal came out of nothing really, it was just a very quick reaction.
"In the first half we could have been three or four up and then in the second half Popey has put one over from close range. I have said that this is the beginning of our season, we have won tonight so now we go to Lincoln full confidence."
Mark Lynch came into the right back spot for the injured Dale Tonge, and Moore added: "I thought Lynchy did well as did the whole back four.
"We sat a little deep in the second half but that will come. I don't want to single any individual out, as a team in the first half that is the performance that we are aiming for."
