We could have had more - Scott

Talking to the media afterwards, Scott was pleased that three second half goals from Danny Harrison, Lewis Grabban and Gareth Evans capped the day after Le fondre sealed his move to Reading earlier.

"I thought we were worthy winners and we could have had a few more," Scott told Millers Player.

"We were very impressive in the second half, we passed the ball really well and totally dominated the half. I cannot recall too many efforts on our goal, whilst we created numerous opportunities. I thought we picked it up a little bit from the first half where I felt that we just gave the ball away in bad areas, Jaybo had an off day, it happens and Mark Bradley came on and did everything I asked, from then on we didn't go through dead ends in the middle when we were doing well around the outside.

"I thought Marshy did ever so well and Evo caused them problems down his side, and then in the second half we moved the ball ever so well, we had good movement, good energy about us and we looked solid defensively. It was a really good professional performance, and we played some fantastic football as well."

With Alfie's move confirmed, Scotty added: "It is going to be very tough to replace Alfie, we know that, but sometimes when the emphasis is on one player it takes the spotlight off everybody else.

"We have some good players here but we are aware that we are not the finished article yet, we need to go out and replace Alf with someone who will be effective in terms of goals and team work as well.

"That will be difficult but that is my job and it is up to others to step up and fill the void and show me that they deserve to be playing, and everyone did that today."
