"The players should take great credit, they've been fantasic considerin everything thats gone on here, i though todays performance was exactly what we needed, it was dogged and solid. Even though we were'nt playing for a draw, we all knew that a draw would do us."
"I'm always worried at 0-0. Everytime somebody pulls thier foot back to shoot it's flying in the top corner, but it didnt and that's the difference between before and now since I took over. It's a work ethic and a winning mentality we've tried to get. I've just told the players that out of everything thats gone on here, they have that."
Asked how big an achevement this is as a manager for Knill, "Well I've only been a manager for a while so its well up there. Its fantastic, but I have to say that when the last board asked me to take it I felt that we could stay up, I felt that the team were good enough to stay up and they've proved that, albeit it's been close."
"We've put in some pretty good performances and only lost 1 in 13 home games which is a great record and deserved to stay up, we've player some really good football."
"We came out of a bad January, we picked up 3 points in January, we had 8 before and just 3 in January, but the performances were really good. We played Forest at home and somebody else at home, but the performances were really good. You think then it would have been easy for us to get back in there, but we didnt. The next month we got 7 points, next month 8 points and now the point here."

Asked if all the off field problems had helped to pull everybody together, "Yes but you have to be clever enough to use them though, its easy to moan, and I dont think many people have heard me moan about it."
"It does bring you together as a team, we took a bit of critism and used that as well. We kind of went into that seige mentality, everybody hates us and everybody wants us to go down, and I think that helped, and fortunately we've got enough charictor in the team to breed that and today was exactly the same, we just said, prove everybody wrong. Everybody though we were going down and we didnt."
Asked what staying up means to the financial side of the club, "It's massive, absolutely massive and for me as the manager its the game and its riding on it, but in the back of your mind theres lots more. "
