He said afterwards: "It was a tight game and there's no doubt about that. I think we scored with our first shot on 70 minutes. It was one of those games."
Five changes to the side that had played at the weekend gave Moore the chance to look at some of his players on the edge of the first team. Jamie Annerson was one of those five, stepping in to replace Warrington in goal, and went on to give a fine display.
Moore commented: "The save he made after two minutes was a fantastic save down to his left, after we had got caught on the break. I'm well pleased with him, he kicks the ball a mile also."
Moore also gave the nod to Tom Pope and Tom Elliott upfront, and he was not too pleased with the pair in the first half: "I was disappointed with both of them up to half-time, and they know that, I made that plain. They were giving the ball away, we could not get into our pattern, so we could not get the midfield players or wingers in, but they did an awful lot better in the second-half.. you tend to forget they have been out a long time."
Elliott did get a knock late on but got back up and continued, something he may not have done a few weeks back.
"We have said before he has to grow up, but lets be fair to him he was disappointed we fetched him off, but 90 minutes is a long time when both him and Pope have been out so long.
"We brought Warne on to give us a little bit of endeavor, we have gone on and got two goals, one a penalty which I think Mark Bradley wanted to take, but as soon as the ball was free Kev was after it, there was no way he was letting anyone else have it, but he has a tremendous left foot and it was a great strike."
Mark Bradley came into midfield for Danny Harrison, and topped off a fine display with a goal.
"I thought he had some fantastic touches in play, his passing was outstanding, later on he did get a little bit sloppy and gave some balls away. He has definatly got a more than even chance for a start on Saturday," added Moore.
"Overall I think we probably just about edged it. We got two goals and could have had another penalty...and we'll save Wednesday for the final!" joked Ronnie.
