Speaking to Radio Sheffield after yesterdays 2-1 defeat against Brentford, leaving the Millers in the bottom half of the table and nearer to the relegation zone than the play-offs.

"I think the game was lost in the first half, we gifted them two goals. The first goal was obviously a mistake by the defender and the second was a scrappy one which we should have dealt with better."

"I thought we started alright and gave them a big lift when we gave them the equiliser, and first half we were poor. Though even as bad as we were I thought we could have got something out of the game today."

"At half time we warned the lads that they were dangerous from our corners on the break and counter attack. We were penned in their half and once again we couldnt get that vital goal."

Michael Keane missed an opportunity to level the game, hitting the keepers legs on a one on one. "Michael Keane's devastaated in there, he had a golden opportunity to equilise and who knows what could have gone on from there."

"But it's another defeat, I'm dissapointed and not very happy. But we'll look forward to next week. The lads are down and we need to get them and we need to get them back in on Monday morning and working again."

"A Major part of my job is to get them lifted and ready for next Saturday, the attitude and workrate are good but its just the basic errors that we made today cost us and we just couldnt get the equiliser. We dominated the second half and thought we were the better team but its goals that count."

Grant Leadbitter made his debut in a Millers shirt at half time, "Grant was our best player n the second half, he got on the ball, passed it well, he knew when to go forward and I thought he did very well."

"Today we got beat, but we will creat chances with the way we play. Somebodys got to stick the ball in the net soon, the balls are flying across the box and we have'nt got anyone to stick the ball in the net and we'll have to address that situation."

"We're always on the lookout for another striker, we need another striker. I'm under no illusions that we need some back up and a front line striker."
