After the Millers went out of the Johnstone Paints Trophy to First Division Huddersfield Town, by two goals to one at the Don Valley Stadium tonight, Mark Robins spoke to the official site, saying:
"We were a little flat-footed but we played some decent stuff at times.
"We had to shuffle things around tonight. Kevin Ellison has come in, worked hard and started to come into the game when he moved out to the left. We huffed and puffed looking for a second goal but just couldn't find it.
"We are conceding too many goals at the moment and we are giving teams chances which is not like us. We are normally quite solid at the back. Marc Joseph has come into the side and done well but we need to improve for Saturday because Chesterfield will be very tough opponents. They have had some shooting practice against Burton tonight so we will know what to expect from them."
With the Millers suffering from players lost to injury, he hopes things improve before Saturday's clash with neighbours Chesterfield.
"Hopefully we will have one or two players back on Thursday but it is certainly not ideal," he admitted.
"We want to be at full strength because we have Chesterfield on Saturday which is a massive game for us."
Tom Pope's injury, which he picked up at Macclesfield at the weekend may not be as bad as first feared, Robins said "We had some encouraging news from the physio about Tom Pope's injury. I am hoping to have him back in a couple of weeks which will be a big plus for us,"
