Speaking to the assembled press after the game, Knill said; "To lose 1-0 at home, especially when you've had all the possession and they've gone down to 10 men, it's an understatement that its a dissapointment."

"I didnt think they came with any real intentions of going forward, I thought they played a sitting midfield player not really to stop the ball and get them forward, but to stop us. I just thought they had come for a draw."

"They managed scored the goal, then with 10 men it makes it difficult with everybody behind the ball."

"We could'nt break them down and did'nt pass it quick enough. We had plenty of possession but if you pass it in front of them your never going to score. When we did get in and have chances we were'nt clinical enough."

"We were pedestrian on the ball, passing it side to side instead of passing it quickly."

Knill was asked about the new players jelling, he replied with: "We can't use that as an excuse, We've had some in for 5 weeks, others for 4,3,2. It is a new squad and a new team and it will take time. Unfortunately the position we're in we aint really got the time and we need to get the points now. Dissapointed but aswell theres 45 games left. So we go to Huddersfield on Tuesday and try again."

"Will Hoskins came in on thursday complaining of a back problem and he couldnt train yesterday so we had no other choice but to leave him out."

Asked if new signing David Hibbert had got much pre-season under his belt, Knill said; "I don't think so, I dont think hes played many games. When your after players and you take them, really you want them to get into the squad and build Himself. But unfortunately we just had to throw him in. He will be better for it, today was a tough game for him, now he knows what the league is all about and he will be better for it."

Woods - Should have scored.

"The second half was very frustrating, I thought we should have had it. At the end woodsy, its a goal, it should be a goal. But he doesnt take it and we lose 1-0."

"It is frustrating because we had so much of the ball, everybody wants you to get it and pump it forward. They just sat on the edge of the box and made it difficult. When you do move it quicker it opens them up a little bit."

"I thought throughout the game we were loathed to shoot, loathed to take a chance. It could be that they are new players and they dont want to make mistakes in their first game. But if you dont shoot you dont win games."
