The20Questions - Norwich City pt 2
Gary Wenn and i have supported norwich for the 40 years i have been on this planet!
What made you support your club?
Born and bred in Norwich
Whats your favorite away ground and why?
Southamptons new ground. Been twice and lost twice, but a fantastic ground that keeps the noise in to create a good atmosphere.
Whats your proudest moment being a Canary?
Either 1985 when we won the league cup or when i was in the pub on that famous saturday night the year we were in the premiership and we beat Man Utd 2-0.
And your most embarassing / disappointing?
Losing to Cheltenham in the league cup at their place about 5 years ago. I was there after a long drive and i had a 5 hour return home after.
So who is your main rival?
Ipswich Town
If Norwich was a Song, what would it be, and why?
Anything by Stiff Little Fingers (remember them????). Best band ever to go with the best Football club ever!
Whos your all time favorite player, and why?
Martin Peters. Never a better player to pull on the yellow and green
favourite current player in your squad?
Has to be Huckerby or Earnshaw.
Thoughts on the gaffer?
He has had his day. He should leave while he is still abmired for what he has achieved. Although, while he is there, i will support him. I am not a "get him out" supporter.
Realistic hopes for the season?
I am hoping for play offs at least. But we have to keep our squad of 15 decent pros fit all season and that will just not happen. As long as we finish above Ipswich.
Is Delia still on the wine before the game???
Does a bear shit in the woods??????
Hows Carl Robinson doing?
This season he has been a completely different player to last season. He is actually being liked on the terraces now!
First class. Armchair football fans will tell you he never made it in the premiership. But he was the most fouled player when we were in the premier according to the stats and look at his record when he played for coventry as a youngster. I beleive it was about 18 goals in a season. Not bad for a "failure"
Last time at Millmoor was a 4-4 thriller, did you make the trip up?
No i did not. I have never been to Rotherham. But one memory that sticks out is you lot winning 4-1 on the opening day of the season in about 1985/86 season.
Are you really bothered about this game, would you care if we knocked you out?
Well i am going with my two Man Utd supporting step-daughters so i cannot face them all the way back to Macclesfield if we lose! And i never like seeing my team lose. No matter the game or opposition.
Who's your strongest / Weakest link?
The weakest link, we are facing loads of problems with our defence at the moment, except the Doc, so take your pick!
Strongest link has to be our attacking 3 (Croft, Earnie and Huckerby), 2 of whom are out injured.
We'd love to back there - your thoughts on the Championship so far this season?
A wide open division that is there for the taking to any team who can string a decent run together.
If you got through, who do you ideally want in the third round?
Man Utd away. Again, because of my step-daughters!
Preditcted line up and score for the game on Tuesday?
Gallagher, Rossi Jarvis, Docherty, Fleming, Colin, Mcveigh, Robinson, Etuhu, Ryan Jarvis, Earnshaw, Thorpe.
Score........2-0 City
