Burns, who left IMFC last summer was expected to rejoin for the impending Worldnet campaign but today's events have thrown that in to doubt with it seeming more likely that he will wear blue and white at this year's tournament instead of the red and white.
The former Millers boss' left after last year's Worldnet exit having led the team to the league title and despite not playing since he has remained involved with the club and was invited back to play at Boddington Hall next weekend. However, on the back of rumours that Burns would not command a first team place at the tournament, the 9ft striker has seemingly planned alternative arrangements.
Burns has always had a public relationship with QPR. He became good friends with many of their players through the IFA network and went to play for the London side in a tournament in Barcelona, where it is thought that he was approached regarding a player manager role at the club. He turned the offer down, deciding to concentrate on his role at the Internet Millers but then shocked the world by leaving his IMFC team mates whilst in Leeds city centre to go and drink with the QPR players in their hotel bar.
Should Burns decide to play for QPR, his ex team mates will be keen to avoid ASB as Burns has a prolific Worldnet record.
