The lads famously won the tournament in 2005 after they beat QPR in the final and will once again be hoping to make their mark following a disappointing last 16 exit last year.
They have been drawn in a group with Coventry, RC Lens, Everton B and Portsmouth and will have to perform to ensure they finish in the top two and enter the cup on Sunday as opposed to the lesser attractive plate, with RC Lens and Coventry providing the stiffest opposition.
The lads will be staying in Headingley and enjoying the nightlife where the social aspect is as much the order of the day as the football is.
Saturday's schedule is as follows:
09:05 ROTHERHAM V COVENTRY
12:00 ROTHERHAM V RC LENS
16:05 PORTSMOUTH V ROTHERHAM
