Roebuck, is entering his fourth Worldnet and was nearly the villain of the peace in last year's epic final after handling in the penalty area in extra time to give QPR a chance of Golden Goal glory. However, goalkeeper Mark Woolass saved the utility man's blushes allowing him to collect a winner's medal. It was also the first Worldnet tournament since Roebuck stepped down from his managerial role with the club and popular thought within the fan base of IMFC suggests that it wasn't a coincidence that victory was secured so soon after.
It has been a competitive season for the Millers and Roebuck believes that rivals picked up along the way to a successful campaign could count against them. “We have strong rivalries now with a load of teams in that they want to kick the crap out of us.”
Meanwhile team manager, Steve Burns was more positive about his team's chances and believes the Millers, despite an apparent lack of preparation are in a better position than this time last year. “Lets hope we have the hunger and desire to want to go out and put a good performance in but on paper we look stronger than last year.” Said Burns.
The Millers 2006 Worldnet Campaign begins at 9am on 22nd July against Doncaster Rovers.
